My Services

  • I offer two types of assessment:

    1- Comprehensive Assessment - £450

    For some children a longer assessment will be required. These children are likely to present with communication difficulties which may be subtle or complex, that are having a significant impact on a number of aspects of their life (for example being able to access class teaching, understanding and coping with feelings, forming and maintain relationships) or they may have additional medical needs. This is also a useful option when requiring supporting evidence for a detailed report for education settings.

    • The session will take up to 2 hours of face to face time

    • Includes full case history

    • Use of informal and formal assessment

    • Information gathering through liaison with other professionals, for example SENCo or class teacher, Educational Psychologist

    • Verbal feedback and next steps agreed

    • Detailed report, including implications for access to education and activities of daily life

    2 - Full Assessment Session - £175

    A full assessment session to gain a thorough understanding of your child’s communication strengths and needs. This typically meets the needs of children with less complex communication difficulties, for example ‘late talkers’, children who stammer or who have speech sound difficulties.

    • The session will take approximately 1 hour

    • Includes full case history

    • Includes the use of informal and formal assessment, when required

    • Verbal feedback and next steps agreed

    • Includes one page summary report

  • Therapy Session - £85

    Individualised therapy sessions with me, based on your child’s communication strengths and needs, supporting them to meet their communication potential through achieving short term goals which we will agree together in advance.

    • Up to 45 minute session

    • Therapy sessions will provide you with a range of activities to support your child to meet their goals

    • Activities will be carried out 1:1 and modelled to parents to ensure effective practise at home

    • Up to 45 minutes face to face time, with planning time in advance and time for note writing after the session included in the fee.

    • All required resources for practise at home provided.

  • Online or Phone Assessment Session - £99

    An opportunity to fully discuss your child’s communication strength and needs, and to receive some suggestions of how to support them while social distancing measures remain in place.

    • Up to one hour split over two sessions

    • Includes a case history

    • Send me videos to watch

    • Verbal feedback and next steps and/or ideas of how to support your child agreed

    Online or Phone Consultation - £60

    An opportunity to discuss your current concerns and find out if Speech and Language Therapy is required, and if Kate would be a good fit to work with you and your family. This is also useful for parents/carers who don’t have significant concerns, but would like the opportunity to discuss their child’s communication and gain ideas of how to further support their child.

    • Up to 30 minutes

    • Verbal feedback and next step suggestions

  • Starting at approximately £800, invoicing for EHCPs is done per hour spent on assessment and report writing.

    A detailed assessment and report written following the NICE guidelines to contribute to your child’s EHCP application. This may include any combination of the following:

    • Face to face assessment

    • Case history with caregivers

    • Discussion with school/nursery staff

    • Observations in nursery/school

    • Discussion with additional professionals i.e. Education Psychologist, Occupational Therapists etc.
